Video

Aesthetigraphs - FrameLike photography my first videos involved a microscope. I wanted to record, for my students, what happens when you pull samples of brass and steel apart. Since then I've gone on to mount cameras on hang gliders that soared to 14,000 feet or toured Yosemite Valley. I've mounted up to four cameras in race cars and I have used them to document various events.

One of my favorite video projects was done with Craig Johnson (Central Washington University) during an annual open house event where people would come in, ram up some sand casting molds, pour metal into them, and take home souvenirs. That video had everything, an interesting setting, happy people, noise, smoke, fire, and glowing liquid metals.
